All,
It is that time of year for ALL ROI-NAMUR DOLPHIN SCUBA CLUB MEMBERS
to renew their memberships. This includes dues ($$), annual physical
paperwork, viewing of the USAKA un-exploded ordnance video and the clubs
annual safety training which requires the viewing of the DAN safety
video concerning air embolism and decompression sickness.
Everything mentioned above is mandatory per the USAKA regulations !
During the February meeting of the club, currently scheduled for Feb. 6th, we will show the two mandatory videos, we will have the physical paperwork available for you to fill out and the treasurer Gene Littlefield will be there to accept your dues payment for 2008. As a reminder, the dues are $6.00 a month and locker fees are $3.00 a month.
In the constitution and by-laws, there is a provision for late payment penalties. If a member has not paid their dues and not completed the other mandatory requirements described in the first paragraph of this message, by the 6th of March, you will be assessed a penalty fee of $10.00 and will be placed on the "Bad Divers" list. We haven't been enforcing this regulation for the last couple of years, but members have become sooooo lax about it we are going to do it this year. We had some members that didn't actually complete things until September of 2007……talk about being a SLUG!It really isn't fair to have the club officers that keep track of this annual information deal with it constantly. After March 6th, they should only have to be concerned with "New Members".
The meeting will start at 6:30 pm that day, which is a half hour early. The video will be shown first, you can fill out your paperwork while viewing the video, give your check to Gene and be out the door by 7:15 pm. We make it easy for you, just show up and "get er done". Normal monthly business will be conducted after the videos are shown. We will also be having the vote for new club officers that were nominated during the January meeting. Show up, get it done or go on the bad divers list and give us an extra $10.00 of your hard earned income.
